Week 93 - O milagre do Batismo

Wow gente this week was incredible. I don’t even know where to start.

We had so many miracles happen this week and honestly, I feel so humbled to be a part of this great work. The Lord has continually blessed our area over and over and well, I just honestly don’t want to leave here ever!

This week we had 6 baptisms. 5 were on Saturday and one on Sunday. On Saturday we baptized Edson, his wife Fernanda and their daughter Letícia. I love their family immensely. Like you guys don’t understand.  They are so amazing and have made the have made the sacrifices the Lord has asked of them and they are just awesome. They even bought new clothes to wear at church and it seems like they have been members for years. Their family is so beautiful.

We also baptized João Paulo who is a 23 year old elect investigator. He was the first investigator whom I have had who has been so greatly excited to learn more and more about the restored gospel. He is one who has been truly searching for the truth and finally encountered it.

Our other Saturday baptism was Marconi. He is the boyfriend of a member in our ward. She has been teaching him for a while now and when we taught him about the message of the restoration, we asked him if he remembered one of the olden prophets. Usually people say Moses or Noah, etc. But Marconi was like "hmm Nephi was prophet right? I like him a bunch." We were like...wait have you been reading the Book of Mormon? And he was like "Yeah, I think I am in 2 Nehpi 10 right now." hahah incredible right?

On Sunday we had an awesome sacrament meeting and they were all confirmed. And then as we left to go to Sunday school, one irmã and her daughter came up to us and said "we have some good news! Gabi wants to be baptized!" We have been teaching her daughter of 10 years for a month.  Her grandmother has basically terrorized her with false videos and info about the Church and she was always scared to be baptized. But she knows now that that stuff isn’t true and decided to be baptized. It was a miracle. I know that the Lord knows her and has helped her with this issue. We called President Bigelow and he authorized her to be baptized that night. She was baptized with one of her friends.

Elder Gasparelo was transferred to Jordão. My new companion is Elder Chelemberg from São Paulo.  Elder Chelemberg is one of my mission friends and he is awesome!

Hope you all have a great week. Believe that the Lord can bless your life in miraculous ways.
